I read this in about 1 minute, so I may have missed something, but basically. Beau is saying that they were afraid they may not get a conviction if they had to try the case - and so they agreed to a plea deal with this child-raping pig. As a trial lawyer, I get that, it sucks to lose and you can usually tell when you are going to lose or are likely to - and the thought of this POS getting off is intolerable. That said, I still THINK the sentencing guidelines gave the Judge prison time discretion from 0-22 months. And she gave a man who raped his 3 year old daughter zero time -- which I doubt she would have done unless the AG had agreed to no time as part of the plea deal. So, theyre both responsible for him getting no time in all likelihood
