I read this site every few days and all I see is the same old same old. One desperately wanting to believe that SVI/ICF are the good guys and the rest reading in wonderment. The whole scenario could be solved simply by repairing the tracks, something that did not happen during operations. I am sure that the railroad people on here would agree that if VIA was paying to have maintenance performed and that maintenance was not done for whatever reason, then the contract would be broken. If the maintenance stipend was not sufficient to perform the required maintenance why then did the SVI/ICF duo not approach VIA to negotiate an increase of the financing for the maintenance rather than insisting to the VIA people that the tracks were fine? There are huge credibility gaps with the story as being told on the Island. Too huge for VIA to overlook, in my opinion. It may be time for the ICF to bite the bullet and axe Mr Bruce.
