I realize I am alone in my concerns here on this page, but today The Portsmouth Herald, which fully agrees with the Maine law regarding dispensaries, echoes some of my concerns. As for those of you wanting one of these places next door, I would ask you this: do you want smoke wafting into your yard where your children play? Do you want assurances from local law enforcement that indeed the grower is growing the required limit of six plants (currently the YPD cannot investigate if the limit is exceeded), would you want private armed security patrolling the dispensary? I deleted my previous post due to security concerns voiced to me by my neighbors, and will not now disclose the location...I can tell you this, neighbors are beginning to protect themselves by all legal means at their disposal as word leaks out by patients as to the location of the growing operation (which, as I said, the YPD is not permitted to confirm restricts the plants to 6), and increasing numbers of cars begin to appear on this quiet dirt road...
