I realize Myles Munroe and his family died in a terrible plane crash and this is tragic...But none the less anyone who believes he was a good bible teacher or minister of God ought to find out some of the things he actually taught before making that assumption...He says that the gospel we should preach is the kingdom of God not Jesus and the cross...????? I suggest looking at what gospel the apostles did preach instead of what Myles Monroe has said...Peter preached about Jesus in Acts 2 Acts 5:42 And daily in the temple, and in every house, THEY CEASED NOT TO TEACH AND PREACH JESUS CHRIST. Acts 17:2 And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,3 Opening and alleging, THAT CHRIST MUST NEEDS HAVE SUFFERED, AND RISEN AGAIN FROM THE DEAD; AND THAT THIS JESUS, WHOM I PREACH UNTO YOU, IS CHRIST. Paul preached Christ crucified... 1 Cor 1:17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest THE CROSS OF CHRIST should be made of none effect. 18 For THE PREACHING OF THE CROSS is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. 19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. 20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. 22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: 23 But WE PREACH CHRIST CRUCIFIED, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; 1 Cor 15: 1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you THE GOSPEL WHICH I PREACHED UNTO, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received HOW THAT CHRIST DIED FOR OUR SINS according to the scriptures; 4 AND THAT HE WAS BURIED, AND THAT HE ROSE AGAIN THE THIRD DAY according to the scriptures: These are just a few examples of what Paul preached as the gospel...Yet Myles Monroe says not to preach about the cross and Jesus...that this is not the gospel we are supposed to preach...
