I realize that I am getting repetitive in promoting Russells - TopicsExpress

I realize that I am getting repetitive in promoting Russells stuff. I cant help it: think what he is doing is amazing. In this Trews, he immediately deconstructs and lays bare the tactics used by the mass media to trivialize him and distort his views. I remember how hard it was for me, after my book 2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl and our film 2012: Time for Change came out, when the New York Times and other outlets still dismissed me a doomsday thinker. They did this even though the book and film actively promoted solutions, ranging from the abstract (changing the Gregorian Calendar to forgive debts globally) to the pragmatic (permaculture, alternative currencies, getting cars to run on salt water hydrolysis, bioremediation for soil and water, and so on). I didnt have the social media clout to counteract this impression in any significant way. It would be awesome if Russell inspires a wave of defections among public artists and cultural influencers. Imagine if a range of celebrities start speaking out publicly, every day, in an eloquent way about what is happening on our planet now. I dont see how the establishment would handle it - celebrity is almost the only value they cherish. His focus is social inequality. I think the deeper criticism leads with the ecological crisis, which essentially requires an overturning of the current political-economic system - not just because it would be better for the multitudes, but if we want to survive as a species. I dont understand what prevents most people from realizing this, and acting upon it.
