I realize that being closed to patient care has been a big inconvenience to some this week, and for that I apologize. However to those patients that have called and chewed out Jamie on the phone, understand this, we cannot simply call in certain meds on the phone because we are required to verify that they are due. We are required to verify what you are taking. We are also required to verify you are taking them correctly, and this all has to be documented. This is why you are required to be seen for refills of certain meds. Certain meds cant be called in at all period. There are rules that must be followed. They are not our rules. We currently have no patient information at our office. We are required to have it all on computer and they were all taken. The thieves cannot access the information because it is encrypted, but now neither can we. We do have backups of the data but we cant use it until we either recover all of our equipment or replace it. We dont even have a list of who our patients are or any numbers to contact them. Thats why Jamie is staying up at office answering the phones. We hope to have equipment back up by Monday if all goes as plans. We will then mail out letters to everyone explaining the situation. To those select few who feel this isnt good enough, you should understand this isnt our fault, it certainly isnt Jamies and if you want to be mad at someone I suggest you find the people who robbed us and let them know how you feel. For the rest of you, we appreciate your patience and please understand this isnt something we wanted either. Thanks David Diffine
