I realize that some truckers are feeling picked on, even though every time I post a note, picture or video, I say that car, bike and pedestrians are just as bad !! BUT its NOT an excuse to throw rocks at me. On my way home last night, this dump truck pulled onto the highway from an empty lot and didnt check to make sure his tailgate and rear area was clear of any debris after dumping his load. Just as I was about to go by him, an 8 inch rock came out and bounced by me, landing on the south sidewalk by the lake. If I was on my motorcycle, and that would have hit me, I could have been injured badly. If it was nice out and someone was walking, could have been worse. SLOW DOWN and do a check after dumping, take your time and BE SURE so you dont have to explain to the OPP, MTO and a crying mother why this boulder came off YOUR truck, went thru a windshield and killed a 8 year old girl on her way to dance class. ( hypothetical but could have happened )
