I realize this is the rational thought... However, its hard to see images of 100s and 100s of white cops lined up against 100s and 100s of black citizens and not acknowledge that race is an issue. Maybe it is strictly socioeconomic status, but that rhetoric is failing to examine the constructed system in rich whites have much more opportunity for higher socioeconomic status. Thats the real facts and since Ferguson happens to be divided by economics based on race, it kind of means this is a socioeconomic problem AND a racial problem. I think its small minded to think one cant exist simultaneously with the other.
