I realized how demographically isolated I am when i read a report stating that 40% of malaysian males smoke daily because on the contrary, roughly 1 in 10 guys i know in malaysia smokes occasionally and probably only 1 in 20 smokes daily. The disparity between the reported average vs my anecdotal estimate followed by my social information as listed below -I came from a fairly privileged, urban family. -most of my close friends are academic elites in high school. -The majority of the people i know are malaysian-chinese indicates a negative correlation between socioeconomic status and the habit of smoking. Under the same inference, I propose that PKR can secure victory more effectively on the next election if they start promoting themselves on cigarette packs. And yes I do imply that most BN voters are smokers.
