I realllllllllly shouldnt give this idea away......I havent even used it yet.....but Im a nice guy (or a damn fool - LOL)...... You wanna improve your reach in doing street promo?? Try this for anytime theres an event the rest of this summer that targets your demographic. Go to uprinting or use your preferred site to purchase custom water bottle labels - (theyre around $40 for 200) - or you can use printrunner ($36 for 500 vinyl high gloss labels). I dont know which company has better quality - none of my clients have used this promotion yet. Anyway - get your custom labels made with your company logo or artist logo and single name. (This would be perfect for Kno Sleeps new single Be Cool) Place them on a 4-5 cases of water. Grab a $30-40 shade canopy from Wal Mart, an ice chest or 3 & 5-10 cheap lawn chairs. Of course bring your fliers and cd singles and a boom box or nice speakers thatll plug into your phone. Now go set up your hydration station at the local event or beach or park. If its in your budget have a banner made that you can stretch across the canopy. Maybe you can be extra creative and setup a wifi hotspot with your phone - but make the people who want to use it send you an email to join your fan club (use the email address to promote to them 2-3 times a month). This is a sure way to meet as many potential fans as bottles of water that you have. Youre giving away the water (& maybe wifi) for nothing -- but -- youre also asking them to give you a listen. Theres nothing wrong with having some merch there like tshirts, towels, bandanas with your branding on them for sale on the cool. Your focus during this kind of promotion would be for the people to see how down to earth the artist is and have the opportunity to interact with them one on one. The ppl will see you as great for providing free water on a hot summer day. I think this is a good idea....if anybody chooses to use it - let me know how it works. Remember to take plenty of pics/video with newly met fans and to get as many pals social media contacts as possible for promo purposes!!
