I really believe my brother is one of the stolen babies. These are the reasons why I have some doubts about his death. First of all, my sister told me almost everything I know about the case because she was 10 years old when I was born. Until December 1985 she was the only child in the family. Javier García Blanco was the gynaecologist who assisted my mother. He noticed my mother was pregnant with monozygotic twins, a rare type of pregnancy where both twins share the same ovum and placenta. It is said that this type of twins have a extraordinary resemblance, physically and psychologically. Nobody was suspicious of anything. Besides, the doctor was a friend our family. 19th December 1985 was the day my mother went into labour. My parents were civil servants, so they had ASISA as insurance company. The Red Cross Hospital in Cordoba should have been the place where my mother delivered, but the maternity centre was under reforms, so they took her to the General Hospital. All the tests ran on my mother had satisfactory results. She did have anaemia, but she was fine. When she went into labour, she went to the hospital with my father. It seems that she already had dilation although she was only in her 8th month of pregnancy. In fact, my mother was sedated without any consultation. Later, we thought this might have been because my sisters labour had been rather difficult. But my mother insists she did not ask for sedation. My brother was born before me and his weight was 2180g. My weight when I was born was about 100g less. The labour turned out well and both of us were in the incubator. The following day, my father told my sister I was fine. However, my brother had died due to the anaesthesia. My sister remembers that my brother was buried during this day. She also claims that she saw a nurse in the basement hiding something inside a white box. My sister can recall the exact place of the burial. She says there was a tree which is still there and that is why she can recognise the place. When my sister came back to the hospital, she could finally meet me. A noon named Sister Manuela told her that my brother had been baptised because he was very ill. Sister Manuela also spoke with my mother and told her that my brother had scales. According to the nurse, my brother was premature and it caused many complications. Nevertheless, Javier Garcia Blanco, the doctor, said it was false. The real threat was the fact that my brother was born first and he might have swollen too much anaesthesia. On January 6th, 1986, I was healthy enough to be out of the incubator. To sum up, nobody saw my brother, either alive or dead. Even my mother could not see him after the labour. The only people who could see my brother were the nurse and the noon. I do not know if my brother is alive or not. We just want to know the truth, we want to know what happened.
