I really didnt want to believe it. I was even holding off on posting a status in the hopes that it would be announced that this was all a hoax or a mistake. Unfortunately, the news of the tragic plane crash in Freeport seems to be true. This is devastating news and a true tragedy. I feel an ache in my soul. Dr. Myles Munroe is one of the greatest leaders and men of God that The Bahamas and the world has ever seen. Words cannot begin to describe the impact he has had and the many lives he has touched. Im in shock. I began to cry as I thought about Lavard and Radel and their baby boy. I had the pleasure of working for them years ago and they were very gracious to me; they were passionate about their gifts and making an impact in the lives of young people in this country. Radel was able to impart much knowledge to me about the acting and film world and for that I will always be grateful. I know they say you are not supposed to question God, however, after I heard the news, all I could say repeatedly was Why, God? Why?. I know that we all have to die at some point, but it just doesnt seem fair that people who were in their prime and so dedicated to making a positive difference in our country and our world would go out this way. The only comfort I sort of have is that they all knew God personally and that death has lost its sting over them, but even that doesnt take away the feelings of sadness and confusion that I am experiencing at the moment. I extend my condolences to the BFM community and to the family and friends of all nine persons who passed away in this horrible tragedy. I pray that in time God grants you peace and comfort. May they all rest in paradise.
