I really do *try* and mind my own business when it comes to certain things that are offensive...BUT I just felt the need to do something about this... Last night at Barnes and Noble, (which I visit on a weekly basis) I was really bothered by the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue at the checkout. I saw it in the magazine section at first. Well, that is where its suppose to be located, but at the CHECKOUT??? Really? That is a huge problem for me since I have 2 younger kids whom I really do not want this shoved in their faces. I spoke with management and also called the 1-800 customer service number to tell them FIRST of how much I love hanging out at B&N. I love letting the kids read and hang out in the kids section while I have a coffee and browse. I reeeeally do like B&N! But I kindly told the customer service gal that the display of naked girls prevents me from purchasing anything. I simply CANT and WONT take my kids through the line to stare at that. :( Management should be calling me soon to further discuss.
