I really do want to get along with people who want to see reform and legalize. Thing is we are so fast and loose with the word legalize I dont even think anyone knows what the word means anymore. Even when I was 18/19 years old reading HighTimes and seeing advertisements for norml, I thought the turn of letters was clever, but never trusted the idea that joining them was going to help me as a user. gut instinct call it. Fast forward to my meeting of people who had seats at the table of reform back in the day at normls formative years and having other close friends tell me things that norml execs and top echelon people have said to them, I trust my instincts even more than ever. Mostly I shut up about them, but with Keiths latest condescending opinion piece about concentrates and now pierres open letter to Robert Platshorn, (a real reformer and real victim/survivor of the drug war) nit picking some small distinction, I just want to say this: If you think that taking the sand out of the vasoline is the best we can do, and you dont mind taking credit for the work of others, then get in line with norml. But if you think that demanding that the molestations just plain stop immediately, is the only just option, then you should look on for a new drummer to march to. Its real simple. When I tell country truth to good people in a way that meets them where they are, I can win them over to rational drug control policy. No slick condescending or capitulating bullcrap, just plain ol demonstrable country truth. But then again I aint no law yer.
