I really enjoy cycling!! Unfortunately, I dont get to be in the saddle as often as Id like. My last ride was St. Pattys day parade 50k. After that ride, my right knee (only knee) was in severe pain all weekend. Saw my doctor on Monday and scheduled an MRI on Wednesday. Thursday, my stump (left leg - duh) began to hurt to the point of walking, standing, even sitting was excruciating! Had a call on Friday to schedule an appointment with a specialist-orthopedic surgeon, which I saw today. (Same doctor who fixed my bone spurs on my foot last year.) He asked if I knew what I was being seen for and I mentioned the degeneration of the cartilage. Apparently, that was not the primary issue. The MRI found a NEW lesion in the knee. Probably sarcoma!! More MRIs to come and another specialist in Denver (which likes to chop up parts even though hes a limb salvage kind of guy). Keep us in prayer. Its hard not to get down immediately and cry. AGAIN?! SERIOUSLY?! Ok, GOD, whats the plan?
