I really feel sad for my husband who has faith in humanity and is - TopicsExpress

I really feel sad for my husband who has faith in humanity and is still trying to talk to Mr. Bester at Plett Primary School. He wants to know what will happen to Dhiya for the hour that they have bible studies during school time (and other times when religion is preached/practiced). I already know the children are separated and it is a free period for non-Christian children to do as they please. He also knows that because he went to the very same school many years ago and they have not evolved with the times. I think he is so concerned on the psychological damage the segregation will cause to our little princess who does not see herself as any different to other children. I know of two current cases: one where a student urinated on a black women and another where 3 children were caught for attempted murder purely because the woman was black. We are horrified by this, but do we ever take responsibility for these children? Sometimes it is not only the parents who teach their children how to hate, but their community and schools too. There is so much information on how to deal with today’s super bright children, but very little information for teachers and parents on how to deal with a more integrated society. Please do not segregate our daughter. Can this nonsense just stop now?
