I really haven’t dropped off the face of the earth. We have been gone for three weeks on a vacation. We drove through the back roads of Colorado taking in most of the ski resorts, then tried to choose scenic routes through Utah, Idaho, Oregon and Washington. We then did an Alaskan cruise which was the first cruise I had been on since taking a troop transport ship to Germany in November of 1963. It was a much nicer cruise. On the way back to Colorado we stopped off at Leavenworth, Washington, a scenic little town nestled in the mountains of Washington with a German theme. It should be on everyone’s “Bucket List.” We drove through Glacier National Park, another Bucket List item, and I was just awed. I’ve been to Yellowstone and Yosemite but they don’t compare to Glacier. We also stopped off at the Little Big Horn Battlefield and finally made it home last night. We are busy putting things away and doing laundry and recuperating, and I have knee surgery scheduled for Monday, so I don’t know how active I will be for a while, but I am back so expect your blood pressure to go up.
