I really like our vet, but the last time I took Mo to her it was for an abrasion that he wouldnt quit licking in his paw. I wish I would have come here for advice first. She put him in the cone of shame for 2 weeks. Eventually he was able to get to get to his paw with the cone still on. It did no good. Waste of time and $40 dollars. He has licked it on and off for weeks. Finally I asked a friend who is also a member here, Betty. She told me about bitter apple spray. I got some at Petsmart yesterday, and some pet liquid bandaid. I put the liquid bandaid on and then the bitter apple. He hasnt licked it since. That was a lot cheaper than the vet! And Im prepared with more liquid bandaid and bitter apple spray to help keep our new pup from biting us when she comes home in 5 weeks. Ive also learned the other ways to keep her nipping to a minimum.
