I really liked this!It Is Not Enough by Claude Poncelet It is not enough To sit In circle With a few Or a hundred With drums. It is not enough To Rattle And Invoke the spirits In Ceremony. It is hot enough To wear the label of shamanic practitioner On the inner or the outer garment. It is not enough To set aside some special spaces and special times As sacred spaces and sacred times. When a child goes hungry Somewhere And does not understand Why his parents would not feed him, When the last of a species That is disappearing forever Lays its head on the earth And dies, It is not enough. The planet earth is a drum Your body and your mind And all your other parts Are a rattle. Every place on this earth Is Sacred Every moment Is sacred. Every being and everything around Is sacred. Life is a ceremony. It is not enough To sit and feel comforted. It is not enough.
