I really loathe the IRS and want it abolished - We were never meant to fear government . . . so this is priceless . . . The IRS is finding itself in positions it normally puts other people into. They love to ask taxpayers uncomfortable, prying questions, and demand answers. Well, that’s exactly what they’re facing, after admitting they targeted conservative non-profit groups for harassment. Two House Committees and the Senate Finance Committee are all launching investigations. The Republican head of one House subcommittee has obtained every IRS record that includes the phrase “tea party.” So the IRS is about to face a grilling that will make a tax audit look like a Cosmo questionnaire. The IRS also likes to take people to court and force them to pay up. They’re about to discover what being on the receiving end of that feels like, too. The American Center for Law and Justice is suing the IRS, Treasury Secretary Jack Lew and Attorney General Eric Holder on behalf of 25 Tea Party and conservative groups. The plaintiffs claim they were victims of “comprehensive, pervasive, invidious and organized” targeting and were denied their First and Fifth Amendment rights. They’re seeking an unspecified amount of “compensatory and punitive damages.” To put that in terms the IRS understands: get ready to pay out a very big refund ~Huckabee
