I really miss being one of Jehovahs Witnesses... I loved waking up at 8am on a Saturday to put on a suit to knock on doors give paper to random strangers. Reading the publications written in 3rd grade English and highlighting the paragraphs in neon yellow and answering repetitive questions. It was great when the Circuit Overseer came to tell us how we could all be doing more, and it was awesome cooking his meals and paying for his trip. In the meantime it was always nice to be periodically berated by the Elders. Dressing up in an uncomfortable suit and sitting to boring talentless middle-aged men read repetitive drivel in a droning monotone several times a week was grand. I was so pleased with the prospect of not getting a college education or being able to pursue a fulfilling career. It was awesome being spied on by people in the congregation and having to live up to a complex unspoken code. And who wouldnt miss going to see a printing company for family vacation? Or spending a weekend traveling to sit in a slightly larger Kingdom Hall and listening to slightly less-interesting morons drone on for slightly longer, and it was such a privilege getting to pay for the hotel stay and daily meals out. ...Sometimes I wonder why Im an Apostate at all. :(
