I really, really dont like being called a hypocrite. Why am I letting this bother me??? I have made no secret about the fact that I hate my short hair. I dont even like it when people comment on my short hair. For me having my hair short is a constant reminder of the fact that I have cancer and am receiving chemo treatments. Trust me, its not often that it slips my mind, but to have it slammed in my face every time I look in a mirror is hard. As most of you know not only is my hair short now, its green. I made a commitment to dye it green if there was $500 in donations made to the Lodge That Gives. The $500 mark was met and I dyed my hair, simple as that. It wasnt about me. I went for a walk and ran into an acquaintance and he called me a hypocrite out of the blue, hmm maybe I should say green??? I gave him a puzzled looked and he explained. He feels that since I dont like my short hair I shouldnt have dyed it to bring attention to it. Even after I explained why I dyed it he maintained that it was hypocritical of me to dye it. Ugh, I wanted to smack him up side the head, I didnt, but I was tempted. I resisted temptation!
