I really try not to post fear-mongering stuff (so, I apologize for the earlier post - but I just appreciate the comparison) and so I wont share the great post I just saw regarding the business practices of hospitals. However, it reminded me of something I like to say: You would never take a class in buying a used car from a used car salesman. Right? So, WHY on earth would you take a class in childbirth from a hospital? When you step into a hospital to give birth, you ARE a consumer. I believe whole-heartedly a woman should give birth where she chooses. And some (even me!) choose a hospital. But please, educate yourself. And be a wise consumer.
