I really try to avoid the stupid rants of the ill-informed, but - TopicsExpress

I really try to avoid the stupid rants of the ill-informed, but sometimes, its too much to ignore. Take the latest right-wing outrage, about the President and a wedding in Hawaii. Claims: The President doesnt care about the troops. He didnt care about his golf game ruining a wedding. He acts like hes a king. The reality: People booking the golf course for their wedding are told that they may be moved at the last minute. Alternative sites are planned in advance. The White House would likely not even be aware of a planned wedding on base. The couple moved, instead, to the yard of the base commander and had an elevated view of the 16th hole (a view that would have otherwise not been made available to them). When the President was told what had happened, he made a personal call to the Bride and Groom to apologize and congratulate them on their wedding. And that call, according to the sister-in-law, made their day. There are real problems in this nation that need to be addressed and resolved, people. So why are sites like The Blaze focusing on nonsense like this?
