I really wanted to pull my hair out this morning & I was questioning ALL my reasons for homeschooling. I finally decided to shut down the computer, close the books, and get out of the house. We live very close to the Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery so I thought it would be a great field trip for the kids since we were of course already talking about Veterans Day. We stopped by Kroger & picked up flowers to lay at some of the graves & headed out. The kids were so respectful & inquisitive. Just very introspective. There were American flags in front of every grave & some had fallen down. Durham was insistent on finding the ones that had fallen over & putting them back. He said that is wasnt fair for those soldiers to have flags knocked over;) Sweet thing. Sometimes you just need some perspective.
