I really wish our fantastic family dentist, Tre Crosthwaite, took little ones. He is so good with Gavin. I appreciate all of the suggestions!! I love that there are so many willing to share your experiences to help us find a good fit. You all have no idea what a valuable resource you are:-) Several recommended Dr Kelli in Frisco and a couple of people emailed me with their detailed experience of taking their special needs child to Dr. Kelli. I called, and the lady I spoke with was very helpful. Ill always be allowed to be with Beckem which is my number 1 requirement. She specializes in kiddos with sensory issues, complicated syndromes, etc. They are conservative with sedation (extremely important since Beckem still has surgeries that will require anesthesia). The only negative was that they are out of network with our insurance so we may have to pay more. I went ahead and made an appointment for both boys, but Adler will probably go to a local dentist after that, to someone who is in network with our insurance. Beckem has 7 teeth and they look normal to me...definitely none are pointed (common with the ectodermal dysplasia). Most little ones with the type that beckem has, have to have dentures as young as 2-3 years old!! I cant even keep shoes on him!! Can yall imagine trying to make him wear dentures??!! Praying this will be a difficulty that we avoid. He has surprised us on so many levels and Im certain this isnt going to be an issue. Thank you guys again!! 󾬓󾬓󾬓󾬓󾬓󾬓󾬓󾬓󾬓󾬓
