I reasoned that God seems to have a style of using darkness, confusion, storms etc to herald His light, calmness, peace, still small voice etc. He did it with the creation of the earth, did same with the red sea crossing, Elijah experienced it too with Him and am certain He does it with us too even though most times we think its the devil. A pointer to this fact is also seen in Isaiah 60:1-2 which is an alert to us not to be troubled about the gross darkness going around the world. For the truth is, Gods light is much more available in the midst of the most gross darkness but residing in the hearts of the sons of light. He tends to use this style to prepare us to let loose our light in the midst of such darkness with a divine and settled hope of glory even in the midst of chaos, a thing which gives strenght to the truth of the kingdom we are commissioned to spread around the world. Exactly 100 years ago, a great man of God Dr John G.Lake spoke of these things when he said Now, dear ones, the thing that the Spirit of God is laying in my heart these days is the need of a settled, established state in the Lord Jesus Christ and the movement of the Spirit worldwide is to bring into unity the children of God who will raise the standard of truth for the world. As clearly seen, lies cannot fight lies, neither will darkness fight darkness. We as Gods people have only one option against darkness and that is the light in us. So dont be discouraged when you feel its all dark around you but take up strenght in the truth that your Father is the Father of LIGHTS and He will vanquish the darkness. Good morning.
