I received a call from a concerned citizen who is very disturbed as many of us are, at the actions that are so grossly negligent and unfair against Mr. Tim Passmore, the current financial director of LCBOE. I was told that in their conversation with Dr. Bill Rowe they were told that the reasons for moving or REASSIGNING Mr. Passmore were because: 1. He attended a public meeting concerning actions of the board at Oconee EMC, that took place in the fall, that I DID attend. 2. That Mr. Passmore misrepresented the financial situation of LCBOE when he reported that Laurens County would have a 800,000 dollar deficit this upcoming year. 3. That Mr. Passmore had been brought in and told to keep his mouth shut or else by the Superintendent. FYI, number 1, 2, & 3 are ALL LIES. 1. Mr. Passmore DID NOT attend the one and only public meeting that DID occur at Oconee EMC. 2. The upcoming deficit that Mr. Passmore warned LC about was only altered by the fact that LCBOE did not hire the five teachers that he had factored in. They only spent a minimal amount of the money that Mr. Passmore had factored in for Professional Development and for textbooks. Those numbers were reported at meetings and I heard this over and over. 3. Mr. Passmore has not one reprimand nor anything resembling one anywhere in his records. This WARNING never took place. After speaking to Mr. Rowe yesterday about all these falsehoods that he us spreading, his only response was, I dont care what you think... AND WE HAVE BEEN MORE THAN MERCIFUL TO MR. Passmore! Its high time that this vendetta is stopped. I say he lied, if he didnt, I say prove it! He says I lie, again I say prove it. I should hope that if this board continues on allowing these lies and character assassinations against Mr. Passmore that he should sue the pants off anyone responsible. Many thanks to the people who are willing to speak up against the ones behind this travesty, and have stated that they will be wiling to testify in court to expose it. To you, Mr. Rowe or Mr. Clements, if you call me a liar I challenge you to PROVE IT! I can certainly prove what I say, can you????
