I received a few messages about my mason jar protein breakfasts, so I wanted to post here a little more detail about them. Using recycled mason jars (from pasta sauce or peanut butter) filled with 1 scoop of raw vegan protein & 1 tsp maca root powders, I then mix a few of the following (all approximate, I just eyeball it): Tbs Organic powdered PB (Just Great Stuff) Tsp Organic Chia seeds Tbs Organic dried cranberries Handful Raw almonds Tbs Organic Dried coconut Tsp Organic Cacao nibs 1/4 cup Organic oatmeal (added to all) Each morning, I add baby kale, spinach, banana and almond milk (8-12 oz, enough to fill the jar after blended) to my Blendtec and then transfer back into the mason jar and sip at my desk once I get to work! Its the most efficient means for me to not forget my breakfast every day! I sometimes toss in frozen organic fruits as well if I have the time and actually remember to do so. Proteins of choice... I would love to eat raw 90% of the time, but there is something about roasted sweet potatoes and gently sauteed kale that will always win me over.
