I received a message from someone today that prompted me to think and I just felt I would share with you what I shared with her. When you are destined for great things, you will always come under attack. It is not a matter of if but when. I have had more attacks and betrayals from people I considered close to me than I care to recall. Having your character and integrity challenged is not fun (especially when you truly care about maintaining both). Alex and I faced a great loss not even 2 years ago ( it turned out to be a MUCH GREATER GAIN) but not before many attempts to slaughter our reputation and all that we stood for. While we maintained our integrity throughout, there were still lies and gossip flying around like you would not believe. It was a horrible thing to endure but it taught me SO much. It taught me that no matter what you do right, no matter how well you handle a situation and with how much integrity and character your can muster, there is always the other side that wants to DESTROY you. People will lie, manipulate and deceive (and they are usually VERY good at it!) to get what they want. Often times, it is just to gain the twisted pleasure of making you look bad. If you focus on that crap, it will consume you and ultimately put out the fire within you. If I can offer you one bit of advice it is this. Leave the slander, gossip and hating to others because while they spread filth and lies.... YOU will be changing the world in a BIG way. Move on with your life. Let people gossip. Take it as a compliment that YOU are the center of daily conversation for them. In the meantime, ignore and move on. Create a life that you can truly be proud of, a life that speaks for itself. Ultimately, people may take the bait for a little while but eventually, they will SEE the truth. The truth always always always comes out. The truth comes NOT from what you say but from what you DO. Be who you say you are by always being the bigger person and not feeling the need to get the last word. The biggest thing you can do is lean on God and keep moving forward in His great plans for your life. While you are off doing GREAT things, these sad people will still be sharing yesterdays news and still gossiping in the same places you left them. Pray. Pray for the souls that are hurting in this world. Who cares what people think about you or say about you! It is not THEM that you are living for in the first place. What does God think of you and have to say about you? Ultimately, people are where they are in life (or NOT) for a reason. It is not your job to run around town trying to get everyone to believe what a good person you are! Leave that to God. He will always vindicate you but it takes you maintaining integrity, character and truth even when everyone around you cant see it because after all, God is judging YOUR actions and your response. The enemy is real and deception is real but God is even bigger, better and greater than all that so you go on and live that amazing life. Leave the haters behind..... #Truth #P31Chick #Haterswillhate
