I received a motivating letter today from Jonny. He said he was pumped and focused on the mission at hand--to become a United States Marine. He said he scored a 283/300 on his Physical Fitness Test, which is a First Class PFT. He also said he was among the top shooters in his series at the rifle range, qualifying as an Expert by scoring 237/250 on Table One. He said there was only one other recruit in their company of approximately 400 recruits that he was aware of that finished higher than him on Table One of the marksmanship qualification, and that he was going to beat him on Table Two so he could get the Top Shot award for his company. I must say I am a very proud parent today. Life is good!
