I received a tremendous compliment yesterday concerning our funeral services. A consultant for one of the nations leading funeral service consulting firms commended our family for having one of the most progressive and forward looking visions in our industry. He noted five major points: 1. No other funeral home has a licensed mental health counselor leading aftercare and grief counseling in the state that he was aware of. 2. The vision of celebration rather than funeral is a wonderful paradigm shift, one in which we are becoming a leader (Providing dinners and off site celebrations for families) and 3. The vision of not being contained into the facilities of a funeral home but being able to provide services outside the facility in out lying areas even in other counties, in churches, Lions building and Lodges, 4. Having the tremendous attribute of being family owned and finally: providing 5 cremation packages that show value and honor to those who are loved. Sometimes it takes an outsider to see just how well we are thinking and changing to meet the needs of families. Ballard and Sons is no longer just a funeral home.....it a loving family working hard to provide people with the best personal service in times of need.
