I received an email from a concerned brother who felt that some of my posts overwhelmingly demonize many men and portray women as innocent. I appreciated his candor and willingness to share his thoughts with me. I replied by explaining that my posts are based on my own field experience where the MAJORITY of the stories/experiences that are shared with me come from WOMEN. Obviously, if I had more men approaching me and sharing their experiences and asking me to write about them, I would definitely follow through, but thats just NOT the case. So, I hope its clear that just because I am sharing stories where women ARE in fact victims of some sort, I am NOT intentionally trying to portray ALL women as inherently innocent nor am I on a mission to demonize men and promote misandry of any type. My intentions have ALWAYS been to use my knowledge, my own personal experiences, and the experiences of others shared with me to try to HELP people and PROTECT them from harm. If there is ever a pattern to the experiences I write about then that is simply coincidental and certainly NOT because of some ulterior motive on my part, a`uthubillah. Also, if you feel that you have knowledge of certain realities that need to be addressed or discussed for the good of our community then I encourage you to use your voice and the platform afforded to you through social media to speak on those issues.
