I received another email from an American plastic surgeon who wanted me to join his established practice in Manhattan! He was impressed with the works I showed on YouTube. Too bad I dont have a New York license. This is the very reason I take the effort to take videos and spend time talking through my surgeries....... to WOW my audience! Because of all those video recording during my surgeries, the surgery time was extended by roughly 30%! So, if you had initially agreed to video recording and signed consent, then decided to withdraw the consent later on, I would be damned pissed off! You could have refused to sign the consent from the very beginning and paid 30% more! I could have performed the surgery without any video recording, and that could have halved the surgery time. Even if you would want to pay more now, I would still be damned pissed, because the surgery time could have been shorter, if you had advised earlier that youre willing to pay more, in return for your privacy. Please be reminded that once signed, the consent cannot be withdrawn until the end of time. Thats the term on the consent form, if you havent noticed. I obtained that consent form from my mentor in New York! Thats how they do things in the US. To protect their practice from naughty patients who try to create trouble later on.
