I received the contract today from NIDAD for Kenai, and for everyone keeping track we have raised $680 in four days! The deposit needed in the near future is $5,000 and the remaining $20,000 is due at delivery once his training is complete. Lots of fundraising ideas in the works, so Im hoping this week we can get some ideas put together and people out in the field. 1. ♥ Bring Home Kenai ♥ rubber bracelets have shipped and will be delivered by fedex to our home very soon! Thanks to Rebecca Lynns generosity we were able to order 200 bracelets to start, so I will need some help getting those out into the community! We decided to sell them for $2 each. Debra Wilson is also working on buttons, keychains, mirrors... 2. I have been talking with Randy, the owner of Oak Orchard Bowl in Albion who is very excited to help us organize a Bowling for Tyler charity event in October! The tentative plan is to sell 100 tickets at $15 each that will cover shoes and two games, we can offer prizes, have a donation jug out, and a chinese auction or basket raffle. We will definitely need some help selling tickets to the event and collecting items for the raffle/auction. 3. Amanda Nowicki is heading the gun raffle event that we are hoping to hold in March, and this is going to be the big one. Looking to sell 750 tickets for the gun raffle at $20 each, and we will also have a large chinese auction at this event for the non-hunters, and lots of country music. Wear your camo finest. ;) (this includes you, Jill Bassett) Food is undecided for this event. Ive heard from more than one person that dinners are not big sellers so I think we are going to keep it light and easy. Ideas are welcome for that. Lots of other fundraisers happening outside of WNY too so thank you SO much to all of our national support! We will get this furry guardian angel home to Tyler, no doubt!
