I received the following email today from David and Sue Kite, missionaries to Idaho. Please share this request with your friends and your church. Ken Kirkley Hey Brothers in Christ, We sure could use some prayers for Blackfoot Southern Baptist Church and for David. As you may have heard, our town of Blackfoot received 3 of rain in 15 minutes this past Wednesday. Thats about 1/3 of our annual rainfall all in 15 minutes! Our little church basement flooded. We called in professional cleaners who have vacuumed all the water out, closed the basement off and set up huge fans to try to dry it out. All the carpet, sheetrock and paneling will need to be removed from the basement 2 - 3 up the walls in this approximately 6,000 sq. ft. basement. The cleaners say we will need to be out of the building for at least 3 - 4 weeks. At this point we have no idea what we are facing in construction and financially. We will be having our services tomorrow at our 4Cs Cowboy Church building here in Blackfoot. After that, we have been invited to join in with the First Baptist Church for a few weeks. Please pray that our Church, under the leadership of David, will seek Gods will in what to do. We praise Him that there were no injuries or loss of life in our little town, that we know of.
