I received the sad news that one of my friends, and frequenting commenters on this page, passed away. Dan found my page while considering a move to Pensacola. He served in the military and in retirement wanted to work on the planes at the museum. When the blanket ban was being fought, or a family was in need, here he came. Ready to fight whatever injustice was ahead. He commented often, helped with numerous projects we had going, and became a great friend. I was able to be with Dan and his wife just a few days ago. It was a beautiful goodbye. Thank you for your friendship, commentary, and wisdom. Rest eternal grant to him, and let light perpetual shine upon him. May his soul, and the souls of all the departed, rest in peace.
