I received this message from my long time friend here in Texas. This is her son and I want to just ask for some prayers for him and his family. It is Jay Vic... he is at Parkland burn unit since last Thurs. critical/stable since he was care flighted from Granbury. He was at a friends and her mobile had a fire that destroyed everything. Her 2 children were asleep in the back of the home, He was able to get them out after several attempts as well as her and tried to save the dog. He went back in three times. His upper body, face, shoulders ,back,arms and hands first and second degree burns. But his esoaphagus and lungs are burned bad. has been on vaccum pump til yesterday to remove carbon and toxics. Now is is still on ventilator to keep airway open and take oxygen . They cannot remove it without airway closing...... day by day. please keep him and us in your prayers. Pete and I are driving back and forth everyday. He is a hero and an angel. if he hadnt been there they wouldnt have made it out. They are all out of the hospital (parkland) and okay. thank God. A faulty heater blew up and started the fire in the middle of the house. He and mom were at the front. After so many attempts he had to break the bedroom windows and pull the 2 kids (7 and 15)outthe windows. Then went back in after the dog. Will keep you posted. Feel free to call.
