I recently got an email from Aquila London who are a scam booking agency who try and persuade DJs to put down deposits to play big gigs in London, Ive been contacted by them before and figured it wasnt worth replying... This time however they have fallen victim to the venom of my poisonous pen: THEIR EMAIL: Hey Alexander, Thanks for getting in touch. I’m not sure how much you know about us, but Aquila is the most successful events company in London. We run events at venues including, XOYO, Pacha, DSTRKT, Movida, Jalouse , No.5 Cavendish, Foundation, Drury Club and many more. Would you be available to be booked in for the 6nd August at Foundation? This is a gig I have been doing for over a year and they pay their DJs properly and treat their talent with respect. How did you first hear about me and why did you decide to contact me about this gig? I am a very versatile DJ and I can play every style of music including but not limited to: chart/hiphop/rnb/house/dubstep/dnb/electroswing/motown/funk/soul/rock/metal/dreampop/rockabilly/rocknroll/aggrotech/edm/posthardcore/acidjazz/trap/indie/prog rock/classic rock/psytrance/full-on dark psy/clowncore/horrorcore/murderrap/ghettoswing/vintageremix/nujazz I would certainly love to do more gigs in London and the venues you mentioned are very impressive, however I would have a moral dilemma when it comes to DJ-ing a Made In Chelsea party because I think that the cast of the show are all vacuous pricks and anyone who watches the show is in dire need of a full frontal lobotomy, followed by chemical castration. If you do have any more potential work for me though, please do not hesitate to contact me, as long as the relevant information about payment, musical style and length of set are made clear and upfront.
