I recently had a conversation that has been sticking with me in a big way. This person was witnessing to me about their religion. I was asked to pray and open my mind and God would show me that their church is the true church that all should follow. I asked what I thought was a straight forward question. Well what if, while praying God shows me that all have come up short of the Glory of God? What if God shows me that Jesus is the way to heaven and that regardless of which church we are with we still need to follow Jesus and seek Him The response I got stunned me Well if thats the answer you get Ill know your not praying to the true God and Ill never speak to you again. That person was so intent on speaking their mind and so focused on them self what I asked never registered. It is very important to witness but never forget to listen. A conversation is not one directional. Always pray and ask Jesus to guide you thru being a witness. Never force your beliefs on others. Nothing will push people away faster than forcing your opinion on them.
