I recently posted something about playing to small crowds all my life after a gig at the Lynnville Hotel. To my dismay I found out that some people thought I was slamming the Lynnville. Not so. It is a great room to play and the owners are not only providing a venue for live music, but are actively involved and interested in the musicians. I wish a lot more places were like they are. What I was bemoaning were the choices I have made to play music, the impact that has had on my life and family, and the growing sense that it has been a selfish and ultimately pointless endeavor. I really regret that my comments were misinterpreted as a put down to a bar (and its owners) that is actually a bright spot on the musical landscape. Sorry.
