~ ~ ~ I recently responded on a friends site to a post to which I took exception. ~ ~ ~ They were gracious, and have continued friends, perhaps closer as we discovered we didnt have to agree with each other on everything to still be good friends. Sadly, one of the responders to my comment must have felt differently, for I have been unfriended. Thats their choice, and theyre welcome back, unless I have to believe or accept every thing they believe to be their friend. That experience causes me to bring the discussion below to my site: Ive just seen a F B poster for the second time which says [ If they miss you, theyll call. If they want you, theyll say it. If they care, theyll show it. And if not, they arent Worth Your Time.] I agree with a lot of things I see posted. This is a glaring exception. Sure, there are people out there, and sometimes much closer, who go about hurting others thru out their sad, distorted lives. Theyre probably beyond what most of us are trained for, or have the proper instincts, to help --- and likely best avoided. BUT, there are many others who are quite shy, or who have themselves been wounded so many times by so many other people that theyve given up trying. There are even those, very unfortunate ones, who have even lost most of their desire to live. So many people needing so much help. If we let ourselves slip into a fortress mentality, where we only associate with those who are actively and caringly reaching out to us, the world more rapidly sinks into the mess its already begun sliding into. God help us all and Bless the USA!
