I recently shot a wedding at a really cool location. The lighting was perfect...the brides dress was beautiful and the grooms outfit stellar. They put a lot of thought and time into their decor and carefully chose the location and time of day. Would have been beautiful wider angle shots had the wedding guest simply been watching the ceremony instead of their smart phones and iPads outstretched in front of them recording it. Seriously...every single guest had their device extended out in front of them. Really? REALLY??? For the whole friggen ceremony???? Even grandma! Cmon people...the bride invited you to be her guest. She hired me to take the photos...which she will be more than happy to give you. One or two shots, I understand...but the whole ceremony? I tried getting a few overall shots in the beginning and gave up...deciding to come back to it later...but the guest never put their phones down. Live the moment instead of playing around on your phone, people. Sunday Morning Rant brought to you by yours truly.
