I recently wrote this article for Absolutely Gospel. I wasnt sure how to share it so I just copied so yall could read it as well. Hope you enjoy! Christmas time is my favorite time of year. Mostly because I get to see all of my family under one roof. One of my favorite memories was when I was seven years old. I woke up for Christmas and ran down stairs and of course just like always, Santa had came! I was so excited and opened every toy there and played with them all. I couldnt help but notice that there was one thing missing. My mom could tell that I was somewhat disappointed so she asked me what was wrong. I told her that when I went and saw Santa I told him everything I wanted but it seemed as though he forgot something. Mom asked me what all did I tell him? I went through my whole list and at the very end I said but the most important thing he forgot. She asked what was it? I told her I asked for a baby sister! My mom started giggling and said well Santa cant deliver a baby. Only Jesus can make that happen so you probably need to pray instead. And that is exactly what I did. That night my nanny and I were standing outside and we happened to see a shooting star. Dana told me to make a wish, you can imagine what I wished for of course, then I prayed to God and asked him to bring me a little sister. Not much later my parents took me to my favorite little Mexican restaurant and sat me down and told me that God had answered my prayer. Mom was going to have a baby. Later on we found out it was a girl. That next Christmas was my favorite of all because I got exactly what I wanted! A baby sister named Autumn!
