I recognise that the World is awakening... But I am nonetheless - TopicsExpress

I recognise that the World is awakening... But I am nonetheless concerned that it is too little, too late. When we look at the conjunction of forces assembling on the horizon, forces such as exponential population growth, the rise of ocean acidification, the rise of CO2, the loss of 50% of our bio-diversity in the last few decades, a loss which is accelerating and is now eradicating Bees and other significant components of our self-contained, ecological system... The list goes on and on...Imagine that within a short 2 decades India will outstrip China in population...then imagine all of them i.e the combined population of India and China all with Mobile Phones... America as Sean Hurley has repeatedly pointed out, consumes 25% of the Earths resources alone...by itself. The cake can only be split so many ways...If America wants 25% of the Earth to live comfortably despite only being approx 3% of the Earths population, imagine how much China would need to consume or live at a similar standard...And then there is India. We only have 1 tiny Earth...We need at least 20 or so more to sustain an Earth population in 2050 which consumes resources at our present rate. Believe it! The old world of labor for wages is ending, and our own ingenuity in creating artificial intelligence and hence, automation is the catalyst. I believe that a form of guaranteed minimum income such as is being considered at the moment in both Switzerland and Germany is essential and therefore inevitable... From there we could for example move to an UBUNTU model where each citizen contributes in a pool of workers, each working say 8hrs for free once a week. For this contribution of free labor, they get their needs met in terms of power, food and shelter. Because the goods thereby produced are in essence produced for free, as the raw ingredients are grown on communal land, they can initially beat out any competitors in a competitive capitalist market, and by doing this i.e selling their goods and produce below normal maket value and beating out competitors it is held that this will invariably shape the economies of towns surrounding the Ubuntu Community to adopt a similar approach... i.e The elimination of Money. We seriously dont need it anymore and it is destroying our World... We are addicts and we need to get straight... Get off the Petro-Dollar... Get off OIL...and especially get off MONEY, or filthy lucre as it is otherwise known.
