I refuse to take part in photography contests. They are more about who you know than what you know. Yes, I have a very long way to go, but some of the winners Ive seen recently are no better than I as far as photographic quality. Theyve just been published more. I dont often submit my work to be published anyway because its all a game. Spend money and time producing images which may or may not be accepted. I dont need it. All I need are loyal friends and clients willing to teach me and pay me for my services so I can live and continue being an artist without worry of living on the street. The attention is good. I love it, but its not everything. I love what I do, but I also do it because I love using something I do to live. #photography #life #art #contests #publishing
