I rejoice in following your statutes as one rejoices in great riches. Psalm 119:14 How much does your heart rejoice in doing the things that God wants you to do to know him more and draw near to him? How much does your heart rejoice in being in church on Sunday morning, or reading his word every morning, or lifting up his name and giving thanks to him? Is it as much as you enjoy that new phone. That new watch, and showing it off to your friends? Is it as much as you enjoy your favorite tv show? or that new car? That boyfriend or girlfriend when they text or call? Do you enjoy the Lord like that? Do you long for him like that. The bible says that you should delight yourself in the Lord and desire him above all things. Set your affections on things above, not on things of the earth. The Lord your God is a jealous God. Set your mind on things above where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. For He satisfies the longing soul and fills the hungry soul with goodness. O taste and see that the Lord is good. Church ought to be the most exciting place you go all week. Can i get an amen?
