I rejoined the TransAm Trail today at the small village of Rural Retreat, and am staying in Wytheville. I met several riders who were part of a group of 18 traveling from San Fran. to Virginia Beach on a trip sponsored by the Bicycle Adventure Club, with a sag wagon. Their leader, Rick, invited me to attend their nightly Happy Hour meeting, and got me included in their cut-rate Super 8 motel price! They are a diverse group, ages 57 to 83!
