I remain a man of damaged faith, not because I believe, but because Im loyal and respect our long-time family business. From the streets of Harlem to the shores of Hawaii, where I was conceived. From West Oakland to the highest peak in the Sierras. There are no answers. Everyone dies more or less alone. There is no final truth. But there is respect for ones family. We revise and re-envsion the past only through our own lives and mistakes, an open-hearted willingness to fail, as those who have failed before us.
