I remember Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles- The 1990 Film being dark, kind of a film noir, and smart. Its not. Its dumb, the jokes are bad (often awkwardly bad), and Casey Jones murders someone at the end. Maybe thats because Raymond Chow was producing it and thought Chinese-style blood revenge morals were fine for a family movie. But the puppeteering by Henson was mind blowing, which helped make the annoying turtles still likable. No wonder it was such a hit. And while most of the action is crap, this rooftop scene was about as good as I remember.
